How does Hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy works by engaging the subconscious mind, creating a trance in order for a heightened focus on the process. All else fades into the background. As the deeper mind is fully engaged in the therapy, the mind will creatively get to the root cause of the problem.
How many sessions will I need?
For deep-seated issues such as Anxiety, Poor Self-Esteem, and Depression six to eight sessions are required.
For Suggestion Therapy to change habits such as Stop Smoking and Lose Weight two sessions should suffice,
Do I lose control when hypnotized?
No, you will be completely in control of what you say and how much you want to engage with the process.
Will I remember everything after?
Yes, unless you go into a very deep trance, you will remember everything that was said and how you felt during the session.
Is Hypnotherapy safe?
Yes, the state of hypnosis is natural. We go into hypnosis when we become completely absorbed in an activity, such as reading, creative writing, watching a favourite programme. Hypnotherapy is safe for everyone, except for people who suffer from psychosis.
How do I know if I have been hypnotized?
You may feel sensations of time distortion, numbness or tingling, a sense of deep relaxation. The important aspect is that you attain heightened focused attention on the suggestions of the therapist.
